The gameplay of Balls Blocks emphasizes strategic preparation, accuracy, and deft aim. The main goal is to break as many blocks as possible before they reach the bottom of the screen by controlling a ball or several balls that are sent toward stacked blocks. Players must carefully arrange their shots to maximize damage and avoid game over because each block has a number that indicates how many strikes it takes to destroy it. In order to hit numerous blocks or set off chain reactions, players can modify the angle and force of each shot by swiping or dragging. Certain stages have special blocks with specific effects, such as moving blocks that enhance difficulty and variation, bonus blocks that raise score, or exploding blocks that clear surrounding pieces.
