Floating Volume Control: Accessible Audio & Power Management
Assistive Design for Everyone:
Floating Volume Control is an assistive utility specifically created to help users with motor impairments or those who find it difficult to use their phone's physical hardware buttons. By providing large, customizable, easy-to-reach floating controls, this app ensures that volume management and system functions are accessible without needing to press physical buttons.
ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES
This app uses the Accessibility Service API exclusively to provide the following feature:
• Power Button Shortcut:
Allows users to open the system Power Menu (Restart/Shutdown) with a simple tap. This is essential for users who cannot apply the pressure required to hold down a physical power button.
Note: We do not collect, read, or share any personal data through the Accessibility Service. The floating volume buttons use the "Display over other apps" permission.
CORE FEATURES
SINGLE & REPETITIVE MODES
• Single Mode: Increase or decrease volume one step at a time with a single tap.
• Repetitive Mode:
Long-press the button to quickly ramp the volume up or down—ideal for users who want fast adjustments with minimal effort.
• Invert Buttons:
Swap the button positions on the screen to suit your hand dominance or comfort.
• Linked/Unlinked Mode:
Link the two buttons so moving one moves the other simultaneously, making it easier to reposition your controls.
• Locked/Unlocked Mode:
Unlocked:
Move buttons freely to any position on your screen for the best reach.
Locked:
Fix buttons in place to prevent accidental movement—perfect for users with tremors or coordination challenges.
QUICK SETTINGS WINDOW
Open the quick settings window to access and adjust features on the fly:
