Transform your Android device into an AirPlay® receiver with AeroPlay. Stream audio directly from your Apple devices to your Android device.

Simply switch the speaker on, and your device appears as an AirPlay® speaker on your other devices. Enjoy your music on your Android’s speakers, headphones, or relay to other devices.

KEY FEATURES:

* Audio Recording: Capture incoming audio as a file, in high-quality formats like AAC, HE-AAC+, and lossless FLAC (depends on device capabilities).

* Real-Time Audio Effects: Enhance your listening experience with equalization, reverb, gain, and bass boost (depends on device capabilities).

* Chromecast: Relay audio to a Chromecast device, including full metadata support.

* IceCast: Use your device as a local server for compatible players such as VLC, QuickTime, or most web browsers. It can also act as a "source client" for external broadcasters, allowing access to the wider internet.

* Remote Control Capabilities: Control playback (play, pause, skip, volume) from your sending device (sender implementation dependent).

* Privacy Focused: This app contains no adverts or tracking. Analytics are mostly related to whether certain niche features are used. You can disable this completely at any time and will be presented with this option when the app is first opened.

IN-APP PURCHASE:

The app initially operates in “trial mode,” which limits audio to 3 minutes, and only allows audio recording and relaying in low quality formats. A single purchase unlocks all functionality.

KNOWN ISSUES:

* The app was written to be compatible with the protocol used in version 1 of AirPlay®, in particular the version used by an AirPort Express® device. Therefore, it inherits the issues associated with these devices.

* On macOS Ventura (and maybe earlier), AirPlay directly from within Safari's video element is not supported. This is most visible on the YouTube website. I suspect this now requires AirPlay® version 2. This issue also affects Apple's official AirPort Express® devices. For reasons unknown, the iOS browser version does still work. The workaround is to use the app as an AirPlay® output device in the Mac's Sound Control Panel.
