SMS and Call Log Permission Disclosure

Cedipoint requires access to SMS and call-related functions to support essential app features such as OTP verification and automatic transaction detail capture. These permissions are necessary for core functionality, and without them, key parts of the app may not operate as intended.

SMS access is used to retrieve and display OTP codes within the app for a more seamless verification experience, and to identify transaction details such as reference or transaction IDs from relevant messages. Call-related access is used only where required to support the short code process involved in OTP retrieval.

This information is used strictly to power these in-app features. It is not sold, shared, transferred, or used for advertising, marketing, or unrelated services.

Accessibility Service Disclosure

Cedipoint uses Android’s Accessibility Service to assist with mobile money USSD transactions, including Cash In, Cash Out, Airtime, Data, and Pay To.

Information accessed includes:
USSD prompts, menu text, and input requests
Customer names shown on confirmation screens
Transaction fee information presented during processing
Confirmation responses from the mobile network
Action buttons such as Send, OK, and Cancel

This information is used to:
Enter transaction details into USSD fields automatically
Move through transaction steps within the USSD flow
Capture relevant confirmation details for local records
Read transaction responses and determine outcome status

Data handling:
All processing takes place locally on the device
No data is stored on external servers
No personal information is shared with third parties

Service activity:
Active only when a USSD transaction is initiated
Limited to the system phone dialer environment
Does not run continuously in the background
