The Instant Payment System Interoperable Platform (IP‐SPI) is a regional payment infrastructure designed and operated by the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO).
It allows funds to be sent and received instantly between different financial institutions such as banks, e‐money issuers, microfinance institutions, and payment institutions.
Thanks to IP‐SPI, every citizen of the Union can make payments in seconds, 24/7, in a simpler, more secure, and interoperable manner.
