Benzine Now – Fuel Stations in Iraq
**Know, Share, and Benefit.**
**Your guide to easily finding fuel stations in Iraq and their locations on the map.**
Before you drive around looking for fuel, open Benzine Now to see which stations are open near you, view the latest driver reports, and see the number of app users at the stations and in the queues.
Help others by sharing what you see and benefit from the information shared by drivers across Iraq.
## 🚗 Features
• **Station Status:** Open, Open with an outdated update, Closed, or Unknown, with color-coded statuses.
• **Latest Reports:** See the number of reports supporting each status and the time of the last update.
• **Queue Information:** See the number of app users at the station or in the queue, and their waiting time.
• **Nearest Stations:** Browse stations by distance and filter results to show those that are currently open or need updating.
• **Smart Search:** Search for stations even with variations in spelling, such as "Al-Ahmad Station" and "Al-Ahmad Station".
• **Interactive Map:** View station locations with their Arabic names and color-coded statuses, along with a button to pinpoint your location.
• **Fast Updates:** New reports from other users appear within seconds when a connection is available.
• **News and Guidelines:** Stay up-to-date with the latest information for your governorate or Iraq in general.
## ⛽ How is station status determined?
• Status reports are only accepted from users located 1.5 km or less from the station.
• Each user has one vote, regardless of how many times they click.
• The value of each report decreases by half every 30 minutes, ensuring the most up-to-date information is more relevant.
• If no new reports are received within 12 hours, the status becomes "Unknown".
The status is based on user reports and does not constitute official confirmation of fuel availability.
## 📍 Report Easily
At the station or while in line, select "Open" or "Closed" and confirm the report. The app checks your location, and if you register your presence in line, it starts counting your waiting time. The count doesn't restart if you close the app and return within an hour.
Your phone can determine your location using GPS, even without an internet connection, under suitable conditions. The report is saved locally with its original time and sent automatically when a connection is restored.
You can retract your report within 15 minutes and review your reports in the "My Updates" section.
## 👷 For Station Staff
The dedicated interface for authorized station staff allows them to announce whether the station is open or closed. Staff reports appear as "Station Staff" and carry a weight of five standard votes. They are only accepted from the station itself.
Staff can add stations not listed, but these will be reviewed before appearing to users.
## 🗺️ Gas Stations Across Iraq
Station locations are based on OpenStreetMap data, and the database includes over 2,000 gas station locations across Iraq's governorates.
Select your governorate upon first launch, or let the app automatically detect it based on your location. You can change it at any time.
The displayed location may differ from the actual situation depending on the recency of reports and information availability.
## 🔒 Your Privacy Matters
• No account, name, phone number, or email address required.
• No ads, analytics, or ad tracking.
• The app uses your location while it's open and does not require continuous background tracking.
• When submitting a report, your distance from the station is sent in meters instead of your precise coordinates, according to the app's algorithm.
• App users are counted as being in queues without their names being displayed. Reports are automatically deleted after 24 hours, according to the app's algorithm.
• You can use features that don't require location access if you decline permission, but submitting a report requires it.
