Basa Team Connect
Basa is a comprehensive service marketplace and property management platform designed for the Zimbabwean market. It connects clients (homeowners, renters) with local service providers (plumbers, electricians, cleaners, etc.) and also includes a ride‑sharing feature. The app streamlines property management, service requests, payments, and communication into a single mobile experience.
Key Features
For Clients (Homeowners / Renters)
Post Service Requests – Clients describe a job (e.g., “fix leaking pipe”), set a budget, and upload photos.
Receive Bids – Providers bid on requests; clients can compare offers, view provider profiles, and accept the best one.
Track Jobs – After accepting a bid, a job is created; clients can see the status (assigned, in progress, completed) and rate the provider.
Ride Booking – Clients can browse available rides (city to city), book seats, and track the ride’s progress.
Wallet & Payments – Clients have a digital wallet. They can top up using Paynow (Zimbabwe’s payment gateway) and pay fees directly.
Subscription Plans – For providers; clients do not need a subscription, but providers can upgrade to access more monthly jobs and lower fees.
For Providers (Service Professionals)
Discover Nearby Requests – Geolocation shows service requests near the provider, filterable by category, distance, and budget.
Submit Bids – Providers bid on requests with an amount, message, and estimated duration.
Manage Jobs – Once a bid is accepted, a job is created; providers can start and complete jobs, and communicate with the client via in‑app chat.
Earnings & Wallet – Providers earn money from completed jobs. A small platform fee is automatically deducted from their wallet. They can also view transaction history.
Ride Driver – Drivers can create ride offers (from city A to city B), manage bookings, and track ride status (open, full, in progress, completed).
For Property Managers (Admin)
Manage Users – View all clients and providers, suspend/activate accounts, and verify provider identities (national ID, skills).
Property Management – Add/update properties and units, assign tenants, and track occupancy.
Lease Documents – Upload lease agreements and other documents, linked to specific tenants.
Financial Oversight – View platform revenue, outstanding provider fees, and wallet transactions.
Support Tickets – Respond to user queries submitted via the app.
Additional Features
Push Notifications – Real‑time alerts for new bids, accepted bids, job updates, ride confirmations, and wallet transactions.
Chat System – Built‑in messaging for job‑related communication between client and provider.
Ratings & Reviews – After job completion, clients rate providers; providers can also rate clients (coming soon).
Verification – Providers must upload national ID; an admin verifies before they can accept jobs.
Wallet Debt & Suspension – If a provider’s wallet debt exceeds a threshold, they are suspended until they pay outstanding fees.
