Let's take up the Trianon memorial bell ringing! The ÖsszHarang application aims to commemorate one of the most painful points in Hungarian history in a dignified way and to strengthen national unity.
🔔 WHY DOES THE BELL RING? On June 4, 1920, at 16:32, the Trianon Peace Treaty was signed in the Grand Trianon Palace in Versailles. At that moment, Hungary lost two-thirds of its territory. In the past, bells rang across the country at this time, but this tradition has faded over time. This application was created to bring back this remembrance - now with the help of modern technology, through the phones in our pockets.
📱 HOW DOES IT WORK? The application automatically sets the timer. All you have to do is install it and enable notifications.
Automatic ringing: Every year on June 4th, at exactly 16:32, your phone will automatically ring the memorial bell.
Duration: The bell rings for as many seconds as the number of years that have passed since Trianon.
Offline operation: The application does not require an internet connection to ring the bell.
🇭🇺 YOUR TASK Wherever the bell rings, stop for a minute and hold your phone high! Let the bell ring as a sign of togetherness. If asked, tell them: the dictation was signed at this minute in 1920. The bell also rings for those who are stranded beyond the borders but are with us in spirit.
IMPORTANT TECHNICAL INFORMATION: In order to ensure accurate timing, the application needs the "Display over other applications" and "Alarm/Timer" permissions. Please enable these upon first launch and turn off battery optimization for the ÖsszHarang application so that the system does not put the timer to sleep!
Let us not forget that despite all this, we belong together. Hungary, the Hungarian nation, is one and indivisible.
