VpnService
Helmit uses Android VpnService to filter web content locally on your child’s device. This helps block harmful or inappropriate websites in real time across browsers.

The VPN works entirely on the device. It does not route internet traffic to an external VPN server and is used only for web filtering and child safety. Helmit does not collect, store, or share browsing data through this feature.

Accessibility Services
Helmit uses Android Accessibility Services to detect which app is currently being used, block restricted apps when opened, and enforce screen time limits across apps.

This data is processed only on the device and is not transmitted or shared with anyone.

Location Services
Helmit uses location services to show parents their child’s real time location, send alerts when a child enters or leaves a safe zone, and support the child’s physical safety.

Location data is only accessible to the parent or guardian account, transmitted securely and encrypted, and never shared with third parties or advertisers.

App Usage Tracking
Helmit tracks app usage to show parents which apps are being used and for how long, identify excessive use of social media or games, and help families make informed decisions about app access.

App usage data is only visible to the parent or guardian account, stored securely, and used only for parental control purposes.

Your Privacy Matters

Location data is only shared with the parent or guardian account. VPN is used only for local content filtering. App usage data stays within your family account. Helmit does not sell or share data with advertisers or third parties. You can delete your data at any time from the app settings.
