In Japanese folklore, the Nekomata is a cat that, after growing old, transforms into a powerful yokai with two tails—often feared as a bringer of misfortune and tied to the afterlife. Our story takes a different turn: Neko may come from a mystical lineage, but unlike the yokai of legend, his purpose is not to spread fear. Instead, he walks among humans as a humble house cat, secretly carrying the wisdom and strength of a spiritual guardian.
The Journey Begins
Guided by his mentor, Reikon, Neko learns to travel between the human world and the spiritual realm. What begins as the playful curiosity of a young cat soon becomes a path of growth, discovery, and responsibility.
