### What's new in 2.0.0
**The game**
- A brand-new game, rebuilt from the ground up: a bright new look, a clearer font, and layouts for phones, tablets and landscape Chromebooks.
- All five rounds of the contest, each with its rules shown before it starts:
- Fundamentals: calculation and recall questions, with a bonus buzzer for the other schools when you miss.
- Speed Race: buzz in first. The fastest correct answer earns 3 points, the next 2 and the third 1.
- Problem of the Day: write your full working. Partial credit is given for each correct step.
- True or False.
- Riddles: tap for clues, the fewer clues you need the more you earn.
- Tournament mode: five stages from the Prelims to the Final against three schools per contest. Only the winner of each stage goes through.
- Quick Match: a one-on-one or three-school contest, with the difficulty and power-ups of your choice.
- Daily Challenge: the same questions for everyone each day, with a streak counter.
- Practice mode: untimed, one round at a time, with explanations on every question.
**Answering**
- Type your answers, the NSMQ way, for 25% more coins and XP. Multiple choice is still available in Settings.
- After a wrong answer you now always see the correct answer and its worked solution, even when a computer school takes the bonus. You can tap Continue to move on at once.
**Power-ups** (taken into a contest before it starts): 50:50, Extra Time, Hint and Clue Peek.
**Read questions aloud**
- Turn it on in Settings. Choose a male or female voice, the reading speed, and the volume. The pause menu has the same controls, plus a mute.
- Works on phones that have an English voice installed.
**Your profile**
- Level and XP, medals, and achievements and leaderboards on Google Play Games.
- Daily reminder you can set to a time of your choice.
**Shop and coins**
- Coin packs, contest year packs, a bundle, and Remove Ads.
- Restore purchases from Settings.
- Prices have been lowered.
- Coins are now a little harder to earn, so they go further in the shop.
**Ads**
- Ads play between rounds and when you leave a contest's results or practice. Remove Ads turns them off.
