A private AI agent for real work
Tapebo brings local-first AI to your Android phone for conversations, planning, notes, document work, and reusable projects. A small GGUF model is bundled, so you can start immediately without signing in or downloading a model.
Start locally, even without a signal
Local model turns run on your device. Offline Lock blocks Tapebo's provider requests, model downloads, and web-fetch tool. The bundled 135M model is a lightweight starter for short responses and simple tasks; output quality varies. For stronger work, use a larger compatible local model or an optional provider.
Keep useful work local
Keep conversations, notes, tasks, Inbox captures, imported documents, plans, projects, missions, and saved outputs in Tapebo. Import text, Markdown, CSV, JSON, or HTML, then search and reuse that material in later work.
Use scoped, reviewable tools
Arm only the tools you want the agent to use. Tapebo's tool set can calculate, read time and device status, work with its local notes, tasks, documents, plans, projects, missions, and model controls, use the clipboard, or fetch a web page. When the agent proposes an armed tool call, sensitive network, clipboard, write, and delete actions are staged for your review before the tool runs.
Choose your model
Use the bundled model, download a curated compatible GGUF, or load your own compatible GGUF. Switch, unload, or remove downloaded models from the Models screen. Performance, compatibility, storage use, speed, and output quality depend on the model and device.
Optional bring-your-own-key (BYOK) provider mode supports OpenAI-compatible and Anthropic APIs. Provider turns send your prompt and relevant conversation or tool context to the service you configure. That service's account, terms, privacy policy, availability, and possible charges apply.

Monitor model and device status, action history, and the provider, model-download, and web-fetch activity recorded by Tapebo. Monitor is an in-app activity record, not a system-wide firewall or Android network monitor.
Go beyond one-off chats
Use Missions for larger goals, Learning Lab to organize examples, notes, metrics, and local experiment artifacts, and Presence profiles to personalize voice, visuals, and agent behavior.
Tapebo is a one-time paid download. It requires no Tapebo account and includes no recurring subscription, ads, analytics, or tracking. Network access is optional and used when you start a model download, configure a provider, or arm and invoke the web-fetch tool.
Before you buy
Tapebo requires Android 7.0 or later on a 64-bit ARM or x86_64 device. Larger local models need additional storage and memory. Tool use is limited to maintained Tapebo capabilities; it is not arbitrary Android or cross-app control. Android system backup is disabled, and there is no Tapebo account sync. Uninstalling the app removes app-private data, so copy or share important results first.
