Qdos: The Family App
Qdos App
Most chore apps keep score in one direction: kids do, parents judge. Qdos doesn't. It's a behavioural contract for the whole household — and everyone signs it, including you.
Built by a parent, for the real chaos of family life. Chores earn. Broken house rules cost. Everyone can see where they stand.
WHO CHECKS THE PARENTS? EVERYONE.
This is the bit other apps won't give you. In Qdos, house rules apply to all of you — and anyone can report a broken one. Yes, a kid can dock Dad for leaving boots on the rug, or call out Mum for "no phones at dinner." Fair is fair. (An adult's report goes straight through; a kid's report waits for a parent to approve — an abuse guard, not a loophole.)
ONE PRICE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY — NOT PER CHILD
Three kids? Five? Same price. Qdos is one subscription per household, full stop — while allowance apps that bill you per child quietly scale up every time your family grows. One home, one plan.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Set the jobs. Make the bed, walk the dog, unload the dishwasher — with a value, a schedule, and a photo if it needs proof.
2. Kids tick them off. Snap a proof photo where it matters; you approve with a tap. The chart does the chasing, not you.
3. Agree the house rules. "Shoes off inside." "Screens off at dinner." Break one, it costs.
4. Settle up when you're ready. Qdos tracks every cent earned and owed; you pay your kids directly, cash or transfer, whenever it suits. No real money moves through Qdos. No cards, no bank links.
CASH OR POINTS — YOUR CALL
Not keen on real money? Flip your household to points — no cash in sight. Stock a Reward Shelf with whatever motivates your kids: "Movie night — 200 pts," "30 min screen time — 50 pts," "Sleepover — 300 pts." They browse, tap Redeem, you approve, points come off. Real motivation, zero dollars.
KEEPS KIDS PULLING
- Savings goals with a progress bar — "$4 to go until the LEGO set." A progress bar beats a lecture.
- Cheers — send each other a little encouragement. Kids can cheer parents too. Be the bigger person.
- Photo proof, parent approval. Trust, but verify — without the nagging.
THE WHOLE HOUSEHOLD, SORTED
- Shared family calendar — appointments, soccer, school holidays.
- A weekly meal planner that pushes ingredients straight onto the shopping list.
- A shared shopping list that sorts itself by aisle.
- Shared lists & plans for trips, parties, and everything in between.
MADE WITH KIDS' PRIVACY IN MIND
Kids have no email and enter no personal details — a parent sets up each account. Delete any member, or your whole family's data, in the app anytime.
