AMB Abhiyaan

Anemia Mukt Bharat (AMB) Abhiyaan is an integrated digital health platform developed to support the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of anemia control interventions under the Anemia Mukt Bharat initiative. The application provides an end-to-end solution for identifying anemic beneficiaries, recording diagnostic information, prescribing and tracking treatment, monitoring follow-up visits, and generating actionable reports for healthcare providers and program managers.
The application is designed for use by frontline healthcare personnel including Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs), Community Health Officers (CHOs), Staff Nurses, Lab Technicians, and RBSK Medical Teams. Through a simple mobile interface, users can register beneficiaries from various target groups, capture demographic and clinical information, record haemoglobin levels, calculate health indicators, and initiate treatment protocols based on anemia severity. The system supports continuous follow-up tracking to ensure beneficiaries receive appropriate care and monitoring throughout their treatment journey.
The app incorporates a comprehensive beneficiary management system that maintains complete treatment histories, laboratory records, follow-up schedules, referral information, and progress indicators. The platform enables healthcare workers to identify pending follow-ups, monitor treatment adherence, and manage referrals to Community Health Centres (CHCs) and District Hospitals for moderate and severe anemia cases.
To strengthen service delivery, the application includes inventory management and inventory request modules that help healthcare facilities track the availability, consumption, and wastage of essential medical supplies and diagnostic consumables. Additional features such as counselling resources, beneficiary support videos and downloadable beneficiary certificates further enhance program effectiveness and patient engagement.
The platform also offers robust analytics and reporting capabilities through Monthly Performance Reports (MPRs) and administrative dashboards. These dashboards provide real-time insights into testing coverage, beneficiary distribution, anemia severity, referral trends, and program performance across geographical areas. State, district, and block-level administrators can monitor key indicators through visual charts and reports, enabling evidence-based planning, supervision, and decision-making.
By integrating Test, Treat, Talk, and Track into a single digital ecosystem, the app enhances accountability, improves beneficiary outcomes, streamlines data management, and supports the broader goal of reducing anemia prevalence through timely diagnosis, treatment, counselling, and follow-up.
